Affiliate Disclosure

Some links on livingineurope.net are affiliate links or referral links. If you click one and buy a product or sign up for a service, we may earn a commission or a fee. This costs you nothing extra. It helps fund the research and free tools on this site.

Where you may see affiliate links

We may have affiliate or referral relationships in these categories:

  • Health insurance for expats, travelers and digital nomads
  • Banking, currency exchange and international money transfer
  • Tax preparation and expat tax services
  • International movers and relocation services
  • Housing and short-term rentals
  • Language learning
  • VPN services
  • Relocation advisors and immigration professionals, where we pass on your request if you submit a form

Links in these categories may be marked or appear in partner boxes. Not every link on the site is an affiliate link, and we link to official government sources without any commercial relationship.

How affiliate relationships work

If you click a link and complete a purchase or sign-up, the company may pay us a commission, which can be a share of the sale or a flat fee. For lead forms, such as the "Get matched with a relocation advisor" form, we may receive a fee from the advisor or company if you choose to work with them. Payment terms differ by partner and change over time.

What does not change

  • Our research. Partners can't pay for rankings, scores or favorable coverage and don't review our articles before publication.
  • Our facts. We link to official sources for visa rules and report trade-offs as we find them.
  • Your price. You pay the same price, and sometimes a lower price, through our link.
  • Our limits. We recommend products only where they are relevant to a reader's problem, and we say when a product might not suit you.

We can't evaluate every provider in a category, and some good options may not appear because we have no relationship with them. Compare several options before you buy.

Professional services

When we show lawyers, tax professionals or immigration advisors, we are not endorsing their advice. We are not a law firm, tax advisor or immigration agency. Verify credentials and licensing, and agree fees in writing. In some places immigration advice is a regulated activity. Ask whether an advisor is authorized in the relevant country.

Compliance

We aim to follow the US Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements and similar rules in the UK and EU, which require us to disclose material connections. Where possible, we place disclosures near affiliate links as well as on this page.

Questions
